Is Coursera the future of online universities?
Uncategorized June 25, 2013, 0 Comment 32Regular readers of this blog are familiar with the great work going on at Khan Academy. But there’s another outstanding site featuring free access to college courses, it’s called Coursera. It’s definitely worth checking out. Coursera is an excellent gateway through which teachers and students can connect. If you’re a teacher and wish to offer a class, you can do it easily via the Coursera interface, through which you can also connect with interested students.
Founded by Andrew Ng and Daphne Koller, two Stanford university professors in computer science, Coursera promises to revolutionize the concept of universities. It’s a long way from offering a full complement of coursework but it definitely is work watching.
